The European IST Prize is the most prestigious award for groundbreaking products that represent the best of European innovation in Information Society Technologies. The prise is awarded by Euro-CASE with the support of the IST Program of the European Commission. |

420 innovative projects from 28 countries competed for this year’s prize, 70 European IST Prize Nominees were selected among all applicants, and among these Nominees 20 Winners were chosen. The selection criteria were: technical excellence, innovative content, potential market value and capacity to generate new jobs. |

Founded in 1889, the Swiss Electrotechnical Association (SEA) is an independent association of over 200 co-entrepreneurs. An internationally active enterprise, the SEV has branch offices in western Switzerland and Hong Kong, and holds strategic cooperation with the SEE (Service de l’Energie de l’Etat) in Luxemburg, the VDE (Technisch-Wissenschaftlicher Verband der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik, Informationstechnik), and also with PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt) in Germany and the Gost (Gosstandart) of Russia.
